Explore our Grantham golf course, Lincolnshire .

Here at Belton Woods we’re proud to have hosted numerous PGA tournaments over the years, making us one of the top golf resorts in the East Midlands. Our 36 hole golf complex is made up of two courses that offer totally different golfing experiences. The Lakes puts your skills to the test with water hazards and bunkers, while The Woods gives you the chance to practise your swing on narrow tree-lined fairways with undulating greens.

If your game needs work, head to our practice green and TrackMan Driving Range, or get expert tips from our resident PGA professional Iain Fulton. Then, when you’re all golfed out, take the banter to The Claret Jug clubhouse for a well-earned drink in front of Sky Sports.

Course information

Par - 72

A real test for players, lakes guard the approaches to many of the greens, so course management and shot placement are key. The holes are long and the fairways tight, so anything wayward from the tee could result in you having to lay up in front of the water.

Our shorter (and more forgiving) woodside course, the fairways and natural hazards need careful negotiation - a real 'thinkers' course for high handicappers and pros alike. It’s slightly more undulating than The Lakes and is very picturesque, running by our on-site lodges.

Relaxing
The atmosphere is very calm and the staff were all very supportive and helpful
Great food and staff
We ate at the restaurant. Service was incredible. Holly was excellent. Thank you
Waitress Emma
Class waitress (Emma) under pressure from a busy restaurant.
A lovely stay
The plus points. All staff without exception were lovely. Shona and Liam in the bar, Holly in the restaurant and the young blond lady at reception (didn't get her name) was uber lovely. Standard room was large, shower over bath clean and powerful. Nice pool and a great steam room. Lots of choice at breakfast and tasty food for dinner. Housekeeping was excellent - room was well cleaned. Grounds are lovely with great walks for the dog - just avoid the golf course. Improvements. Hotel is dog friendly but doesn't provide dog bowls so take your own. There clearly used to be a fridge in the standard rooms as there's space for it - the fridges should be reinstated. Coffee machines at breakfast get busy and the coffee was weaker than expected. We have stayed at Qhotels before and this one didn't disappoint. Thank you.
10/10 food!
Amazing food in the restaurant, had Ben serving us and he was very helpful, polite and friendly.
5* customer service

Meal
5* Emma fantastic sever. Very professional thank you for a good meal
Amazing!
Came for breakfast with my dad, what a brilliant experience, Liam gave us a table right near the window and really looked after us!
Excellent hotel, fantastic staff
I had to change my booking last minute and the reservations team were fantastic. (A special thanks to Nicola!) The room was lovely, the gym was excellent and a dip in the pool was well received after a long hot day. My only complaint was that there was a small hole in the pillow case (pillows were lovely otherwise) and the air conditioning was leaking into the carpet. I reported both and the staff were very helpful. I look forward to staying again soon.
Golf Break 3 days
Charlie did what she said she would do and booked our rooms using my point and the hotel where excellent. Golf reception very helpful and courses are very playable for our level of golfer.
Lovely stay for a special anniversary
Lovely overnight stay to celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were shown to the bar as our room wasn't quite ready. When we did get the keys to our room, unfortunately we hadn't been allocated the room we booked. Reception quickly moved us to the correct room and were very apologetic. We had wonderful views from our balcony across the golf course. The room was very spacious, comfortable and very clean. We used the pool facilities which were of a high standard. Our meal in the restaurant the evening of our stay was excellent - both the service and food itself. Breakfast the next morning was also very good. Overall we enjoyed an excellent stay, and will return again.

Decent 1 night stay
My husband and I stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis at Belton Woods Hotel on Wednesday 1 July 2026. We chose the location because it was conveniently close to RAF Cranwell, where our son was sitting his aptitude tests. Our room was on the ground floor and was probably as far from reception as it was possible to be, at the very end of a corridor overlooking the golf course. Fortunately, I didn't mind the extra walk. The room was comfortable and well presented. I particularly liked the iridescent tiles in the bathroom, and it was a thoughtful touch to provide two complimentary bottles of mineral water, especially as the tap water wasn't pleasant to drink. The bed was comfortable, but unfortunately we didn't have the best night's sleep. The couple in the room above us were enthusiastically enjoying their time together, and the lady was especially vocal! That said, the hotel can not be held responsible for the nocturnal antics of its guests. Breakfast was good. We both enjoyed a full English breakfast, along with a few extras from the buffet. The croissants and blueberry muffins were especially delicious. My only minor disappointment was the lack of apple juice, although there was a good selection of tea, coffee, water, orange juice and other fruit juices. When we checked out, I was initially concerned because my banking app appeared to show that I had been charged twice. Fortunately, this resolved itself after a few days and turned out not to be a problem. Before leaving, we made use of the hotel's excellent leisure facilities, including the indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room, which provided a relaxing end to our stay. Overall, we had a pleasant stay in a comfortable hotel with excellent leisure facilities and a good breakfast. A better night's sleep would have made it even better, but that was simply unfortunate rather than the hotel's fault.
Great value
Hotel was great, dinner was delicious, big shout out to Holly our server, she was attentive and very polite.
Excellent quality hotel
This is an excellent hotel with a golf course, swimming pool etc. The rooms were very good quality. We had a room for 3 which was very spacious, with two double beds and a large bathroom. Service was very friendly. The decor of the whole hotel felt very smart, stylish and clean. Breakfast was very good quality, in a light, spacious, stylish restaurant. The grounds are attractive and there is plenty of parking.
Waitress service
Holly was amazing and provided a very good service to a big group
Golf break
The golf course is dry due to warm weather. The greens are really good. Chris the golf started always there with a big smile making sure you get away promptly
