Explore our Grantham golf course, Lincolnshire .

Here at Belton Woods we’re proud to have hosted numerous PGA tournaments over the years, making us one of the top golf resorts in the East Midlands. Our 36 hole golf complex is made up of two courses that offer totally different golfing experiences. The Lakes puts your skills to the test with water hazards and bunkers, while The Woods gives you the chance to practise your swing on narrow tree-lined fairways with undulating greens.

If your game needs work, head to our practice green and TrackMan Driving Range, or get expert tips from our resident PGA professional Iain Fulton. Then, when you’re all golfed out, take the banter to The Claret Jug clubhouse for a well-earned drink in front of Sky Sports.

Course information

Par - 72

A real test for players, lakes guard the approaches to many of the greens, so course management and shot placement are key. The holes are long and the fairways tight, so anything wayward from the tee could result in you having to lay up in front of the water.

Our shorter (and more forgiving) woodside course, the fairways and natural hazards need careful negotiation - a real 'thinkers' course for high handicappers and pros alike. It’s slightly more undulating than The Lakes and is very picturesque, running by our on-site lodges.

Excellent stay in a well managed spa hotel
I would certainly stay here again. The room was just as you would hope for, the breakfast was faultless and the spa was terrific.
Excellent hospitality
Very friendly excellent food. The hospitality from Ewilina behind the bar absolutely outstanding. She deserves recognition for the hospitality she gave our group.
Enjoyable golf break
Lovely staff and great food Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Highly recommend a stay at this hotel
We had originally booked to stay 2 nights at the hotel as our car was being serviced. We had previously stayed before and found the rooms to be clean and very comfortable. Dining in the restaurant was excellent with good service and food. In the event we had to stay an extra night as our car was not ready. We thank Nicola and her team for arranging a room for us at the last moment. We would also like to thank the management team for the professional way they handled the response to the fire alarm alert on the Friday morning. We certainly will be returning to the hotel and can highly recommend it.
will stay here again
Good location for us comfortable room good bar and dining . Appreciate being able to exercise my dogs along the edge of the golf course.

Weekend Break
Belton Woods is a beautiful, well maintained hotel in secluded grounds making it a very peaceful location. The team on reception were very helpful and friendly upon checking in (and out) as well as dealing with a few queries we had. The ladies in our group were able to use the spa / pool facilities prior to checking in as our partners were on the golf course and once we checked in, whilst the rooms were a fair walk from the reception (such was the size of the hotel), they were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Our booking included a partial payment towards dinner (we would cover the balance of our meal if we ordered over and above this amount) which was fine right up until the fire alarm went off! Thankfully no fire, just excess smoke from the kitchen which resulted in (rightly so) those who were eating dinner having their meals re-done which resulted in all later bookings for the evening being pushed back. The team member who was overseeing the restaurant that evening did handle the situation very well given the large number of complaints she received but it did result in our party having to leave the hotel, paying for taxis into Grantham and paying for a meal or else we would not have eaten 'til very late at the hotel which was not something we wanted. I cannot fault the service received at breakfast by a male team member whose name sadly I did not get, but he handled our situation with not having dinner incredibly well and was the one who ensured that we received some form of compensation for this. Albeit not quite covering the loss, we appreciated the help he was able to offer. Once again, on the whole great staff, beautiful location and the spa treatment was absolutely bliss. This is predominantly a golf resort however and unless you are going to spend a lot on spa treatments / use the gym and pool, there is precious little else to do and you would need to drive to explore the local area with Lincoln being @ 35 min drive away.
Lovely stay at the hotel
The stay was lovely and emma our waitress made the whole meal experience perfect. In fact the whole waiting team were strong
10/10
My husband booked this as a special 40th birthday and our wedding anniversary it was our 1st Time here the spa treatment was amazing, food out of this world beautifully decorated hotel very classy art deco vibe I will definitely book here again small down side the spa would have been amazing to use earlier in the day and then check into room later this would maximise the spa facilities It was a little loud as it was as if a golf tournament was going on but we didn't have any bother with anyone staff friendly helpful and professional 10/10 thanks looking forward to next time
Birthday midweek escape!
Very impressed - the minute I mentioned it was my wife’s birthday Ben, Matilda and the restaurant team couldn’t have done enough for us: a free bottle of wine and a lovely layered brownie dessert, wow thank you all. Matilda was super attentive and dealt with a query on our bill very efficiently. Highly recommended

Emma in restaurant
Fantastic experiance fabulous courses and great service by emma in the restaurant really polite and attentive
reasonable place to stay - food below what I would expect - staff amazing
Excellent staff - great parking options. Food very average for 4* hotel - ordered continental meat plate which arrived out of date for sure: meat sweaty and smelly, cheese with dry ridges - from yesterday? Out of fridge? didn't even dare to tray not to upset my stomach.
Golf weekend
Hattie was amazing, thank you so much
